Rules and regulations

1.1 Privileges and categories of members
Member privileges are personal and not transferable. A billing system is used to cover all club services. Members and their dependants must enter their name, membership number and sign each “chit” used. Cooperation from members is requested.

1.2 Conduct
If, in the opinion of the club, a person is considered to be undisciplined, they may be called upon to appear before the managing director. If she does not adequately explain the reasons for her behavior, she may be suspended or expelled from the club.

1.3 Payment of accounts
Invoices are payable within the current month of receipt. Interest of 1.5% per month will be charged on all overdue accounts. Failure to meet financial obligations to the club may result in suspension or expulsion from the club. People who authorize the use of their credit card can expect the money to be withdrawn around the 15th of the month. All credit cards need to be updated in our files.

1.4 Change of address
Members must aim at the administration in writing of all changes of address and relevant information. Failing to do so, allnotices and invoices sent to previous address will be considered as dulydelivered.

1.5 Dining room
Reservations are strongly recommended to be served in the dining room. The dress code applies to the dining room, please ask the butler.

1.6 Cell phones

Mobile devices should be switched to vibrate mode at all times and can only be used in case of emergency. The use of a mobile phone for voice communications is limited to the front of the Clubhouse or to the Club car park. The sending and receiving of emails or texts is authorized throughout the Club's grounds. On the golf course, the use of electronic communication devices should be discreet and should never affect the pace of the game.

1.7 Child
Children under the age of twelve must be under the supervision of an adult member, unless they are participating in junior courses.

1.8 Category change
The transition from one category to another must be requested in writing to the club director.

1.9 Parking
Members and guests are asked to park in appropriate and well-identified areas and to respect no-parking signs as well as reserved signs. Temporary parking is allowed behind the Pro Shop to deliver and/or pick up golf clubs, etc.

1.10 Injury, loss, or damage
The club is not responsible for injuries suffered by a member or guest. In addition, the club is not responsible for loss or damage to personal effects or golf equipment. All members' belongings are stored at their own risk.
La démission doit être adressée par écrit au directeur du club au plus tard le dernier jour du mois de décembre de l'année en cours.  Après cette date, le membre sera tenu de payer l'intégralité de la cotisation annuelle pour la saison à venir en fonction de sa catégorie.

1.11 Resignation
The resignation must be sent in writing to the club director no later than the last day of December of the current year. After this date, the member will be required to pay the full annual fee for the coming season according to his category.

1.12 Club property
Club property or property damaged by a member will be subject to a claim for pecuniary compensation.

2. Dress code
Members are asked to inform their guests of the following dress rules prior to arrival at the club. The dress code applies in all areas, including the driving range, the Clubhouse, and the course. All members must comply with all dress code rules and are responsible for ensuring that their guests are dressed appropriately. The approved dining room dress code is business casual, unless the event is specified differently. Wearing golf gear is allowed everywhere else in the Clubhouse. Shoes with socks must be worn in the dining room, on the 19th hole, on the terraces and elsewhere on the Club field. Sandals and flip flops are strictly forbidden in the above areas. Ladies can wear sandals without socks. Members and guests who arrive in inappropriate clothing are required to change immediately in the changing rooms.

2.1 Man
Golf shirts should have a collar and be tucked in at all times. Tailored pants and shorts are accepted. T-shirts, tracksuits, cargo pants (pockets on the outside of the trouser leg), and sweatpants are not allowed. Jeans are not allowed on the course. Hats should not be worn inside out and are not allowed in the dining room. Knee socks, ankles or socks are allowed with pants or shorts. Non-golf logos on clothing, caps, and visors are not recommended. Golf shoes with soft studs or without studs are mandatory.

2.2 Woman
Collared golf shirts can be sleeveless. T-shirts should have sleeves. Fitted golf clothing, pants, shorts, shorts, skirts, shorts, skirts, skorts, and capris are allowed. Tank tops, crop tops, cargo pants, and sweatpants are not accepted. Jeans are not allowed on the course. Non-golf logos on clothing, caps, and visors are not recommended. Jeans are allowed, but they should be stylish. Jeans are allowed but should be stylish, i.e. fashionable, not torn or faded. Remember that this is a private club and members and guests should always be dressed appropriately. Golf shoes with soft studs or without studs are mandatory.

3. Alcoholic drinks
It is the policy of the Club that the conduct of each member, family and guests, in all matters relating to the consumption of alcoholic beverages on Club premises, is appropriate at all times and is the responsibility of each individual member. This responsibility cannot be assumed by the Club. Employees have been directed to refuse to serve anyone who appears to have consumed alcohol to the point of creating an inconvenience or potential danger to themselves or others. Alcoholic drinks must be purchased at the golf club. They cannot be brought onto the property from an outside source unless properly authorized by management in accordance with provincial liquor licensing regulations.
 
4. Gaming privileges

4.1 Guest privileges
All non-members must sign up for the Pro Shop. All members and their guests must comply with dress rules as specified above. Members are responsible for the conduct of their guests.

4.2 Start times
Departure times can be booked using the club's website. You can also contact the Pro Shop or the Starter.

4.3 Game speed
It is the responsibility of all members to respect the standard of 4 hours and 15 minutes for a game of four balls. It is possible to play for less time without inconvenience. As a result, players should play at a good pace. You should always be ready to hit your shot, considering your strategy when approaching your ball.For social gaming, players can adopt the rule of striking when they are ready. This should always be done with the safety of other players in mind.Don't hang out on the greens. Try to get behind your ball on the green and line up your putt while the others play. When you have made a hole, leave the green immediately. When there is a free hole in front of the players and the next group is waiting to play, you must allow the next group to play.

4.4 Electric carts
Carts may be prohibited when ground conditions are such that they may damage the course. No cart may be driven on part of the slope of a green and must remain on the cart path next to all greens and tees. Except for people with physical disabilities whose carts have been identified, members who do not meet the above guidelines may lose their cart privileges. Members should make every effort to avoid driving in areas where the grass is carpeted.

4.5 Hand carts
A limited number of hand carts are available to members and guests free of charge. A limited number of member-owned hand carts will be stored in the back room on a first-come, first-served basis for an annual fee.

4.6 Training Center
If you want to hit on the natural grass, you can go to the starting area at the bottom of the slope.

Disabilities
For disability purposes, ALL parties must be registered in accordance with the Disability Regulations. To establish a handicap, a player must record 5 scores. Each player is responsible for playing with their correct handicap. Windmill Heights is a participating member of Golf Canada and makes all players paid members. The mandatory annual membership fee will be billed to all members each spring on a separate bill. Any handicap reduction is automatic and takes effect immediately after the score is scored, unless otherwise advised. N.B. - All scores made on any of the following courses must be used for the calculation of handicaps: A course ranked in Canada; A course classified in Canada; A course under the jurisdiction of Golf Canada; A course classified under the jurisdiction of Golf Canada; A course classified according to the Standard Scratch Score method (Great Britain, etc.) ; A course classified according to any other recognized system (Australian Golf Union, etc.).
